The Maunderer - ch1I. They walk too slowly, the people in front. I keep my head down, heart pounding in my throat. I want to pass them, but I don't. That's rude. When have I ever cared for being rude? Never treat me the same. They turn, and I quicken my pace, just in case they decide to continue going in front of me. Several cars zoom by, in the street. I stay well away from the road, almost brushing up against the buildings. The people surround me. There are new people in front of me now. They walk a bit faster than the previous group.
